Experience scenic variety and harmony, which is in keeping with the warm-heartedness of the 560 inhabitants. Summer and winter alike there are many opportunities to enjoy a diverse range of leisure activities, and also sweet idleness and day-dreams.
More than 50 km of hiking trails in and around Forstau await you in summer. Horse-riding, mountain biking, excursion destinations and climbing are just a few of the leisure opportunities on offer. Take a deep breath, switch off and take a look at, smell and sense the unique surroundings.
The kneipp-path and the healing educational trail at the Bachweg are worth a visit and the new "Forsti´s Fitnesstrail" with 12 fitness-stations keeps you in shape!
In the region around Forstau there are lots of other activities too, such as swimming, paragliding, rafting, high ropes courses, lots of wonderful and romantic gorges, stately homes and castles, museums and adventures to enjoy in the natural surroundings. The world-renown Mozart city of Salzburg with its unique sights can, much like the other attractions in Salzburger Land, be reached in a very short time.
